Online is the way to go! I do not know how people did it before the advent of the internet but the convenience it offers is just beyond words.
I was recently sent by my boss to a business convention in Los Angeles to represent our Chicago-based company. I was really excited because it is an opportunity for me to network with players in my field and I would certainly not mind the three days off my everyday routine. So here I was contemplating on places to visit in LA when I realized that I have run out of business cards. How in the world can I network when I do not have any business card? That would make me look very unprofessional! And to make matters worse, I only had three days before I fly to the west coast. That was a real bummer!
I searched the web for a business card printing
company that could save my neck. I got into this website called Printplace.com and it was just heaven sent. The first thing I checked is whether they can give me my cards in three days. They can print in three working days! So I ordered 250 pieces online for $34.50. They started printing once I approved the digital preview. I then had it delivered by FedEx to the hotel where I will be staying.
As soon as I checked-in at the hotel in LA the receptionist handed me a package: my business cards!
